Barcelona full back Eric Abidal has reaffirmed his commitment to returning to playing action as soon as possible following his recovery from a liver transplant.
The Frenchman left the following message on his Facebook and Twitter accounts:
"I am still working hard so that I can return to the pitch as soon as possible! I will see you soon, friends!"
Abidal, who underwent a liver transplant in April after being diagnosed with cancer, is following a specific recovery plan with club doctors, which began in the club's training ground gym. He is now working alongside Barcelona's physiotherapist and hopes to return to action at the start of 2013.
