Paco Herrera had to wait until his seventh away trip of the season before getting his first away win in La Liga with Celta Vigo, who until today, were the only team in the league unable to get even a single point on their travels.
The victory was not entirely deserved, with Zaragoza dominating almost the entire match, but they were unable to put their chances away, and Iago Aspas grabbed the winning goal with eight minutes to go, showing again why he is the man of the moment in Galícia.
Both teams began the game brightly, and the first half was played with a lot of intensity. The visitors waited just thirty seconds to take their first shot, with Mario Bermejo shooting straight at goalkeeper Roberto. However, Zaragoza soon found the intensity which characterises Manolo Jiménez's teams, and begun to dominate possession, lead by Victor Rodríguez and Montañes, while Sapunaru seemed to have the entire right wing to himself.
Iago Aspas was the only dangerous player for the visitors, and was his usual animated and direct self.
Zaragoza looked more likely to score first on the night, with Celta goalkeeper Javi Varas coming to their rescue on more than one occasion. Roberto was also at hand at the other end to deny Aspas on 70 minutes, but a short while later there was no stopping the Galician striker, who hit a low shot on the turn into the bottom corner and beyond Roberto, after an intelligent pass from Roberto Lago, who had launched a counter attack from the left hand side.
Zaragoza still had time to equalise and nearly did so through Aranda from the edge of the area, but he was denied by Javi Varas.
