Athletic Bilbao have agreed a one-year contract extension with centre-back Aymeric Laporte which will keep him at the club until 2016.
As well as renewing his contract, the new deal will see the player's buy-out clause rise from 18 million euros to 27.5 million.
The deal has been agreed just 42 days after Laporte was promoted to the first team squad and handed a contract until 2015.
The 18-year-old Frenchman arrived at the club's youth set up in 2010 and made his debut for the first team this season against Celta Vigo at San Mamés, when he came on as a last minute substitute.
Since then Laporte has become a regular fixture in Marcelo Bielsa's side, playing six games in the league and two in the Europa League, and is now regularly picked ahead of Fernando Amorebieta, whose contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
