Athletic Bilbao released an official statement confirming that Juventus are set to begin talks with the club to sign Fernando Llorente. The simple statement from the Bilbao club reads: "On 3 January 2013, Juventus Football Club contacted Athletic Club in the knowledge that Fernando Llorente will conclude his time at our club on 30 June 2013 and wish to begin negotiations to sign the aforementioned player".
