Vicente del Bosque has described José Mourinho as "a very aggressive coach" and contrasted the Madrid boss's personality with that of his own.

Speaking at a conference, the Spain coach analysed the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona and talked about the diversity of the Spain squad, declaring that it was a united group and insisting there were no fractions between the Catalan, Basque or Madrid-born players.

Real Madrid: "I don't think they miss me at the club, they were voted the best club of the 20th century and they are still one of the best clubs around. Alongside Barcelona they have maintained an incredible level of football which everyone can enjoy."

Mourinho: "He seems like a very aggressive coach. By contrast, I am much calmer. Our two styles are worlds apart, but the most important thing is that the group of players work well, everything else comes second."

Madrid-Barça: "The debates about the last Clásco were not about the brilliant game we all saw, but about unnecessary controversies, like if one player had said something to another in the carpark, if someone had said something on the pitch. People are always looking at the bad side of football and not the good side."

Relations between players in Spain squad: "There is no confrontation. We have many Catalan players, many Basque players and more. I have never had to remind anyone that we represent Spain. The best example is our goalkeepers. We've got one from Madrid [Casillas], who has played over r 100 games, one from Córdoba [Reina], who has played 20 games, and a Catalan, who has played just five times. That is a perfect cross section of the social harmony that exists in our team."
