José Mourinho will take charge of Real Madrid for the 100th time in the League, against Rayo Vallecano tomorrow. The Spanish side will be the second team the Portuguese coach has hit the landmark with, the first being Chelsea who he coached 120 times in the Premier League. In spite of the team's current situation (third in the League and 16 points behind leaders Barcelona) Mourinho's stats are still highly positive: 99 played, 75 wins, 13 draws and just 11 losses. His goal difference column is decently in the black at 194, with 281 goals for and only 87 against.
Mourinho made his league debut in August 2010 with a goalless draw against Mallorca, but has gone on to become the coach with the fourth highest number of wins for Real Madrid. Last weekend's trouncing of Sevilla in the Bernabéu allowed him to overtake Madrid legend Molowny. Ahead of him lie only Vicente del Bosque (84 wins), Leo Beenhakker (89) and Miguel Muñoz, some way ahead, who recorded 257. Mou will be the sixth coach to take Real Madrid for 100 league games.
Mou's numbers were pumped up by last season's record breaking championship, when they won the league with 100 points and 121 goals. However this season is putting a dent in his statistics, with five defeats, already two more than last season and one more than in the whole of 2010-2011.
His Achilles heel is of course Barcelona. He's only won one of five Clásicos (the 1-2 in the Nou Camp last season to finish off the league). On the other hand he's racked up a full set of wins against Athletic, Atlético, Real, Hércules, Celta, Valladolid and today's rival Rayo.
In three and half seasons Mourinho has used 42 players in the league. Cristiano (8,116'), Iker (8,096'), Ramos (7,556') and Xabi (7,490') form the backbone of his teams. He's brought the following youth players into the side: Adán, Nacho, Morata, Jesús, Jesé, Juan Carlos, Mejías, Joselu, Álex y José Rodríguez.

A Mourinho biggest achievement is just to be manager of Real Madrid, he should be thankful for it. Otherwise he is very controversial person and coach what he proved, recently in Madrid. His lucky star seems to be falling down slowly.
