Levante defender David Navarro has reportedly sent a text message to Cristiano Ronaldo to apologise for elbowing him in the face during Sunday's game against Madrid at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, which lead to the Portuguese losing vision in both his eyes and having to be substituted at half-time.
Television programme 'Punto Pelota' displayed the text message on Tuesday, which read: "As soon as I saw the extent of the damage, I have wanted to say sorry."
Ronaldo has not replied to the message yet.
