Real Madrid's new goalkeeper, Diego López, arrived in the Spanish capital at midday to join up with the rest of the squad. He travelled from Seville on the high speed train amid high expectations and was greeted by one of Madrid's representatives, Javier García Coll.
However, Diego López will not be presented until Monday. Real Madrid, who have bought in the new goalkeeper following the injury to Iker Casillas, are keen to keep any distractions down to a minimum before tomorrow's game against Getafe at 12:00 (Canal+ Liga).
"It's a dream to be coming home", López said after the 3.5-million move was closed. After bidding farewell to his team-mates he made his way to the capital, where took a medical. "For a Madridista like me, going back to Real Madrid is the greatest thing that could happen in my career. I can't wait to begin this huge challenge," he said.
