The Colombian is now waiting to find out whether he will be able to play Atleti's next games, against Real Betis on Thursday (in the Copa del Rey) and Athletic Bilbao next Sunday.

Atlético Madrid fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Radamel Falcao underwent tests on Monday morning to asses the extent of the hamstring injury he sustained on Sunday during Atleti's 2-0 win over Levante, and the prognosis is positive. The Colombian striker has a grade I-II level hamstring injury and the club have announced that he has not suffered any muscle tear.

The player is now waiting to find out whether he will be able to play Atleti's next game in the Copa del Rey, against Real Betis on Thursday, or the league game with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Falcao had to be substituted on Sunday after appearing to pull a muscle in the 58th minute when running towards goal. He was replaced by Diego Costa.

In his post-match press conference, Diego Simeone indicated the striker would be out for between 20-25 days.
