Milan confirmed today that they had started talks to bring Brazilian midfielder Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, Kaká, back to the club in the next few months. The player left the Italian team in 2009 to sign for Real Madrid.
Managing director of Milan, Adriano Galliani, said today, Friday, that the Brazilian could return to Italy in the winter transfer window if the three parties involved, the two clubs and the player, were "good" and dealt with one of the main stumbling blocks to the deal, the player's salary. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' also revealed that Galliani may fly to Madrid next Tuesday with the aim of having the deal signed and sealed as soon as possible. "We have the issue of a salary that isn't appropriate for the current conditions in Italy, and so we need to look for imaginative solutions. Without them we won't get the deal done", said Galliani.
The Italian also denied that his club are involved in other deals that could affect Kaká's return, such as a possible move for Manchester City's Mario Balotelli. "There's only one deal on at the moment, and that's for Ricardito, though it is a tough one".
The mutual "love" between the fans of the club and the player "never died", said Galliani, whilst stating that it was only the "numbers" that forced the club to sell Kaká, and that now they want to see if the can get him back.
