Atlético Madrid defender Juanfran Torres has commented on the situation of team-mate Radamel Falcao, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea in January.

Blues coach Roberto Di Matteo declared "any coach in the world would want Falcao in their team" in a press conference this week, but Juanfran played down the significance of the Italian's comments.

"There's nothing unusual about what Di Matteo said, any coach in the world would want 'El Tigre' in their team," said Juanfran in a press conference ahead of Atlético Madrid's away game with Granada on Sunday.

"But unless he's fooling us, which I don't think is the case, Falcao has said he is very happy here and wants to stay here and win more titles with Atlético. I am a friend of his and I'm always with him, and I know that the truth is he's very happy here. Therefore, I don't think we have anything to worry about."

On Atlético being second in the league table: "The more we can increase our lead over the rest of the teams in the league, the better. If we can extend our lead over Valencia to 20 points or our lead over Málaga to 15 points, that would be great. We have to get as many points as possible between us and the other teams."

On the reception Atleti expect from Granada, who avoided relegation last season thanks to Atlético beating Villarreal: "I'm sure the fans remember that but it doesn't mean they're going to approach the game any differently or give anything to us, quite the opposite. They will be up against the second placed team in the league and I'm sure they'll do all they can to beat us. It's going to be a very difficult game for us."

Squad List

Atleti coach has announced a squad of 18 players for the trip to Granada, which is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Asenjo, Courtois

Defenders: Godín, Filipe, Cata, Juanfran, Miranda,

Midfielders: Mario, Tiago, Koke, Raúl García, Arda, Cebolla Rodríguez, Gabi, Emre,

Forwards: Adrián, Falcao, Diego Costa
