Diogo Kotscho, Kaká's press officer has talked up the possibility that the Brazilian will play in the MLS in the not too distant future.

He told The New York Post: "We haven't made any negotiations, and I'm not starting any rumours, but what I can say is that it's always been Kaka's dream to live in the United States and play in the MLS [Major League Soccer]. He might not go there now, but in the future he will probably play in the MLS."

Kaká's affinity for the United States is well known. He goes there every year for his summer holidays and he recently bought a flat in New York.

If the Real Madrid player does move to the MLS, he will follow in the footsteps of Hristo Stoichkov, Thierry Henry, Rafa Marquez and David Beckham in swapping a career in La Liga to play in the United States.
