Gregorio Manzano was officially presented as new coach at Mallorca on Tuesday. The 56-year-old, who was accompanied by club vice-president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, takes over the reins from Joaquín Caparrós.

Return to the Iberostar: "I am returning to a place which, from a professional point of view, has meant everything to me - not just because of the amount of timer I spent here but also for the great affection I received from everyone here, the matches we went through and time we spent together. When the rumours started that I might return, I got the same sensation as when I came back six years ago. You never know where this profession will take you. I could have ended up anywhere but I feel proud to be back here with Mallorca".

Passion for Mallorca: "Everybody here knows that I want the best for this club and for the fans. This is my home, where I have experienced so many things -good times and bad".

Lawsuit against Alemany: "The club was put up for auction. My lawsuit and that of another coach concerns the previous owners. It has nothing to do with the current club owners".

Encouraging support for the team: "Mallorca fans are knowledgeable, they are aware that we are all in this together. I really hope that they will get right behind the players in Saturday's game against Osasuna".

New squad: "I know a fair bit about the present crop of players - some of them I have coached before but I need to analyze them as a whole. We need these players to be at 120%. It's a squad which has enough quality and commitment to remain in the top flight".
