Osasuna coach José Luis Mendilibar was unrepentant after his side beat Deportivo La Coruña 2-1 at the Reyno Navarra stadium on Sunday.
'Los Rojillos' took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal by Kike Sola, but Emiliano Armenteros should have been given offside before he played the ball into the striker.
In his post-match press conference Mendilibar admitted his team were fortunate, but showed no remorse.
"Was it offside? The first thing I did when it went in was look at the linesman. It's the first time in 20 games we've had a decision like that go in our favour.
"The most important thing is the three points we won. There were two games, the first half plus a bit of the second half, and then the end of the game, and I think by the end we were very tired and struggled to close them down and they got more comfortable."
The coach also praised his goalkeeper Andrés Fernández, who "showed his class today" by saving two goalscoring chances from Nelson Oliveira.
He expressed some concern that his team could not keep up their intensity over the 90 minutes, and rued the chances they missed, but was pleased that "the points stayed at home".
And he defended the way his team approached the game.
"We didn't let them play how they wanted, we didn't let them play comfortably. I'm not sure if it was because we played the long ball game and that made them uncomfortable, but there are many styles of football, there's tiki taka, and then there's the direct game. We try and play the way we know how."
Deportivo coach Domingos Paciencia meanwhile did not hide his anger at his team's poor performance.
"It is not a good result, we came here to win. We were awful in the first half. I don't lie to see this type of football, it's very ugly. Their first goal was offside but we have to look at ourselves and see that we did not play well, and we're responsible for that. We lacked concentration for their second goal."
