Barcelona welcomed Lionel Messi back to their group training session on Saturday morning for the first time since the Argentine suffered bruising to his knee during the 0-0 draw with Benfica on Wednesday.
Messi had been working in the gym on his own since the injury but returned to training with his team-mates on Saturday and has been included in the squad that will travel to Seville on Sunday for the game against Real Betis at the Benito Villamarín stadium.
Messi was not the only player to re-join the group after time out, with Marc Bartra, Dani Alves, Alexis Sánchez and Cristian Tello all training too.
Eric Abidal continued to train away from the group and follow his specific recuperation programme after undergoing a liver transplant last April, but at last the Barcelona treatment room is empty.
Barcelona squad to face Real Betis:
Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Adriano, Jordi Alba, Puyol, Piqué, Mascherano, Song, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Thiago, Cesc, Pedro, Messi, Alexis, Villa, Tello.
