Neymar has denied that he has a pre-contractual agreement with Barcelona that will see him join the Spanish league leaders either next summer or after the 2014 World Cup.
The Brazilian forward told Uruguayan newspaper 'El Pais', who recently named him the "King of Latin America" for the second time, that he is committed to his current club Santos.
"I don't have a contract with Barcelona or any other team," he said. "The only contract I have ever signed is with Santos and I'm happy there. This is a huge club and I have a contract here until 2014. The most important thing is to be happy, and I am at the moment, I'm with my family, my friends and my club. My aim now is to help Santos and to help Brazil, and with hard work I'll be the best."
In the last few months speculation has been building that there is an agreement between the Brazilian star and Barcelona. In October Barcelona-based newspaper 'Sport' and radio station 'RAC 1' reported that Barcelona had already made an advance payment of 10 million euros to Santos for the player.
The same media outlets claimed that the 10 million euro figure was discovered in the club's annual dossier, alongside a "firm commitment" of 40 million euros, the exact price of the player.
