"Do I have to explain my relationship with Tito? If you're think it should change, let me know. We'll leave our relationship the way it is, whatever that may be". This is what Josep Guardiola said, answering a question about the reported deterioration of his relationship with his understudy Tito Vilanova. When asked whether they would work together again he answered, "That's a long way off. By taking over at Barcelona Tito's shown bravery and courage and I hope he is there for a long time as it will mean that things are going well". He also talked about when he discovered that Tito would be his successor, "I found out he would take over the day of the press conference when I announced my departure".

Guardiola was cagey about certain controversal issues, for instance when he was asked about Joan Laporta's latest statement that the current board had not done enough to keep him, he commented that, "The reason for not being the coach next season was clear".

He was also asked if the departue of Juan Carlos Unzue had anything to do with his strained relationship with Víctor Valdés, "as far as I know, no. Whatever happens in the future is no longer my business". And there was more ducking and diving when asked about Sergio Libero being hired as Vilanova's assistant. "You'll have to ask the sporting director", Guardiola said.
