The economic publication Forbes has today published a ranking of the world's best paid sportsmen in 2011 with the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo appearing in the top 10. The Portuguese star is the ninth-best paid sportsmen in the list with a total of 42.5m dollars divided between salary and endorsements making him the second highest footballer after David Beckham of the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The best paid sportsman of 2011 was the US boxer Floyd Mayweather, who earned 85m dollars, followed by his fellow boxer the Philippine Many Pacquiao, with 62m dollars and the American golfer Tiger Woods on 59.4m dollars.
