The Barcelona president Sandro Rosell said today that Tito Vilanova "represents the footballing values of Barcelona." He was speaking this afternoon during the presentation of the new coach at the Catalan club.

"He knows the footballing values of this club and what we try to give to the boys in the youth system. He's been with Barça his whole life. He's works very hard", he added. "He's a culé, a Barça member, he's had it in his blood since he was very young", Rosell stressed.

After Guardiola's departure, the president explained that "we didn't hesitate for a moment and we accepted Zubizarreta's proposal straight away." He revealed how the events unfolded: "Tito's as healthy as an oak. The second question was: Would this excite you? And of course, he said yes. So we had the most important things - health and interest."

Regarding the reaction of the dressing-room, Rosell said: "The players accepted the decision really well. The relationship between coach and players is very important." He wanted to end his speech giving thanks to Vilanova. "What we want to do now is thank Tito for his decision. We're always going to be with you, we're always going to support you. All of us are Tito", he finished.
