Athletic could ask for the indefinite suspension of the match against Israel's Shomona, although UEFA is considering moving it to Cyprus and having the teams play on the 29th November.

Now it's official: Athletic Bilbao won't be able to repeat the heroics of last season's Europa Cup run, which saw them get to the final with memorable wins over Manchester United and Schalke. The 1-1 draw between Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyonnais puts Bielsa's men out of the running. They'll now have to focus on the Liga campaign.

Sparta Prague took a point thanks to a goal from Husbauer, after Benzia had struck for the French side. The match between Shomona FC and Athletic will still go ahead. UEFA were looking into moving the game to Thursday 29^th in Cyprus.
