Real Madrid fans shocked by the violent and insulting behaviour of Borussia Dortmund fans in the Santiago Bernabéu during Tuesday's Champions League clash between the German champions and 'los blancos' are planning on launching a joint claim against their own club.

The fans believe Madrid are responsible for the situation because they sold tickets to Dortmund fans outside of the section reserved for away supporters.

The club are waiting for the match report from UEFA delegate David Findlay, who attended the match and was well aware of the incidents in the stands, and could present Madrid with a fine.

But the complaints of Madrid fans who hold season tickets for the Champions League are also aimed at the match stewards and security guards, who they claimed did nothing to quell the violent behaviour of a large part of the 8,000 Borussia Dortmund fans that attended the game.

Felipe Álvarez, a Madrid season ticket holder who was a victim of the Dortmund fans' behaviour and president of a Madrid supporters club, summed up the behaviour of Dortmund fans by saying: "They only thing they did not do was vomit or piss on us. It was disgraceful."
